Jess's Review ~ Isadora by Ella Frank

Isadora (Masters Among Monsters, #2)Isadora by Ella Frank
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book should come with a too hot to handle warning...

We find ourselves right where book one left us...Isadora being held captive by someone from her past. Someone actually quite meaningful to her but also someone she never anticipated seeing again. We get to learn of how she came to be one of the first-sired and the betrayal that led her to where she is today.

"She was the one."

Elias has been waiting for this moment for some time, the moment that he has trained for and prepared for. But this book is what happens when planning does not take into consideration free will and perhaps a little love.

"If I had breath in my lungs, file mou, you would've just taken it."

Leo and Alasdair and Vasilios also have a story that is not quite finished. These three sure know how melt the pages but there are still a lot of pieces missing from their puzzle and life threatening changes that are occurring. Will Leo choose destiny or attraction? Will he betray his friends or the ones he has come to need? Will we find out what the hell is happening to these three friends?

Not all of the questions are fully answered in this book, while we find out more about Leo, Elias and Paris we don't really know what they mean together. Thanos' soul has been destroyed by this grand plan and how he will recover from it is still unknown. Elias who seems the strongest willed is left questioning his purpose and what that means for him and Isadora. Isadora is more than just a ruthless female vampire, she has fire and passion that you only come to realize after you get know more about her and her Ancient.

This story was a tangled web of beings, no one story is complete, there are still unanswered questions and I am practically foaming at the mouth wanting to know what is going to happen. I enjoyed this book more than first; I think because we are given some more insight into the players and I was devoted to the story. I gobbled it up, refused to be distracted and then needed a cold shower (or five) when I was done.
