Spy Girl by Jillian Dodd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
After her parents are killed, X is sent to Blackwood Academy to learn to become a spy. Training her whole life in hopes that she will be able to join the elusive Black X in order to exact revenge on the man who killed her family. Just weeks before graduation, X is given a mission, protect the Prince of Montrovia and eliminate those responsible for the threat against him. With her new partner, Aristotle, they set off on their mission.
Siblings Huntley and Ari Von Allister, have recently come into money when the father they never knew existed, passes away. Dinner parties and high profile functions are their new normal, the perfect cover for the young spies.
Along with Huntley, we are thrust into a world of intrigue, suspense, and danger. I was captivated by this strong and capable young woman. We get to be apart of the excitement and watching her in her element was thrilling.
Dodd weaves an interesting love triangle into the story gifting us with a touch of passion and heart. We see a different aspect of Huntley in her feelings towards these men. My feelings were just as conflicted as hers were when it came to Daniel and Lorenzo. I loved them both in different ways.
I'm eager to uncover the truth behind Huntley's past. I have a feeling something big is in store for us.
