The Boss by J.L. Perry
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
The boss is a quick, fast paced, sexy read. If you love the sibling and best friend’s genres, then this is a definite read for you.
Harrison and Hanna have practically grown up together and around the age of seventeen Harrison sees Hanna in a new light. He spends the next years denying and fighting his feelings for her. He doesn’t want anything to jeopardize his relationship with Ethan, his best friend and Hanna’s brother. Hanna’s family is more like his family because growing up his home life was not good. All this changes when Hanna comes to work for him and he is no longer able to deny his feelings and Hanna does not want him too. Hanna also has feelings for Harrison and decides to stop fighting them and go after what she wants. They no longer are fighting their attraction, but Harrison wants to keep this a secret for now because once Ethan finds out everything will change, not for the better. These two have chemistry, but it’s much more than that and it was fun watching Harrison fall. He has always avoided relationships and finds himself wanting to be in one with Hanna. And Hanna wants this because she has been in love with Harrison for a very long time. Of course, Ethan finds out and the fall out is not good. Will Hanna and Harrison have what it takes to get their happily ever after?
I enjoyed this book and J.L. Perry is one of my go to authors, so I would definitely recommend it. Even though it was a short story she packed in all the feels and emotions, so you don’t feel like you’re missing anything.
