Egomaniac by Vi Keeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This one night a divorce attorney meets a marriage psychologist, they are brought together by a crook who becomes a whole lot richer, in a swank place called, Park Avenue. It's when the psychologist attacks said attorney that things start to get a whole lot more interesting.
Emerie just lost her entire savings, finds out she has problems with the law all after she follows her long-time crush to New York City. She is a little thing with a whole lot of personality and fire. She is also a bit naive but ridiculously sweet and caring. She is the type of person you want to be your best friend, but she is also a pleaser. That person who wants everyone to be happy and tries to make all right with the world.
Drew is her complete opposite. He's crass and egotistical. He likes the ladies and those extracurricular activities have sometimes caused more problems than they are worth. Drew is also down-to-earth. With a penthouse apartment on Park Avenue and more money than he knows that to do with; he likes dive bars, hamburgers and hanging out with his friend. He works hard and doesn't mess around. And little Miss Emerie is about to give his ego a run for it's money.
This book was wildly entertaining; funny, sexy and had a whole lot of heart. There was a back story that kept you guessing and it shed a whole different light on the dirty-talking Drew Jagger. I literally enjoyed every bit of this story. There were more than one thing happening to keep you going and in between giggles and sexy banter, there were also some seriousness and heart warming moments. This story had a bit of everything that goes into a good, well-rounded book and an ending that just made me smile (I'm still smiling).
