Chance by Charlotte Casey
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Greer is a bassist of a country band Rusted & Reckless who have finally hit it big. Even though music is his first passion, he also loves to learn taking online classes to expand his education he may never use.
Aveline is juggling two jobs and taking care of her mother who was badly hurt in a car accident. To help her advance her education and hopefully get out from under the huge debt caused by her mother's medical condition Aveline takes online classes. After finding friendship with an online classmate Greer, a chance encounter reveals Greer's secret and passion erupts between the couple turning a friendship into more.
I thought Charlotte Casey did an amazing job with the start of a new series. There was definite chemistry between Greer and Aveline that just exploded the more they revealed to each other. But with each having to deal with their own baggage coming into this relationship, kept them cautious. When they would open up that is when Greer and Aveline were at their strongest.
I think what I most enjoyed about this book was getting to know the guys of Rusted & Reckless. Each is dynamic in their own individual way. I can't wait to read more about this group!
