This is Me, Baby by K. Webster
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars
Yet another addicting installment of this wild and crazy series. I feel like I have run out of words to describe these books and this one is no exception. It was hot and heartbreaking adrenaline rush from beginning to end.
This is mostly the follow-up to Brie's story. After the last book had me shocked I had no idea where we were were going to go next. Brie has a life to put back together but even the simple tasks are treacherous when you have evil lurking around every corner.
While she is young, she is fierce, but she is also pitted against some pretty dangerous people. She seems far older than she really is and life has not been kind but her one constant during the years of hell has been her only true friend, Ren. Ren also seems far older than he was just a book ago. He has aged and hardened against the world but he is protective and sweet with an incredibly bad mouth. I might have fallen for him a bit...or a lot. The journey through this messed up world is never easy nor kind. Sometimes it is the little things that make all the crap seem alright and that is what Brie is learning with the help of her friends and family. In the dark she can be at ease but during the harsh light of day she is broken and destroyed and hunted.
There is not a whole lot more to say to other than if you want to get wrapped up into the craziest, darkest, family drama ever, then this series is it. I'm hooked and we still are not done yet...
