"His body told a story - one of beauty and pain - and she was afraid to read it."

This is my first London Miller book and I am hooked. Instantly I was drawn into this story and the lives and drama of Christophe and Mariya. Both running from something and brought together when they needed each other the most, even if they didn't realize it.

Christophe or "Fang" is running from his mistakes and demons. Trying to get his head back in the game away from his brothers and in a place where he can drink himself to oblivion. Mariya is hiding from her life and carrying a bunch of secrets. She is not looking for anything from anyone. She is quietly existing until her neighbor finds a way into her her life.
The chemistry and transformation of these two characters was intense at times and drew you into the story. Fang is ruthless and pretty bada$$. Mariya is caring but not a wallflower, she knows evil and about the bad things that lurk in the night. With one seeking redemption and the other solace they end up finding each other, even if only for a short time. We also get to meet the rest of the Wild Bunch who I imagine we will be seeing more of. These men are brothers not by blood, but by circumstance and life and who they work for.
Everyone we meet has character and that "something" that makes me want to learn more. I also learned that there are other books surrounding this world that I need to check out because I really enjoyed this author's writing style and story telling ability. There were a few points that I thought things slowed a bit but it was not for long and did not take away from my enjoyment of the overall storyline.
