Jenny's Review ~ The Player by K. Bromberg

The Player (The Player, #1)The Player by K. Bromberg
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder sustained an injury that threatens to end his season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery.

HOT!HOT!HOT!HOT!
WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT!!! I HATE CLIFFHANGERS, OMG!

Holy heck, this is K. Bromberg's sexiest book yet! I'm a huge fan of every single one of her books, but OMG The Player is number 1 right now.

Great story well written. The plot is filled with steamy scenes, seductions, shocking moments. Reading this book was so much fun. The chemistry between the two was off the charts. This book definitely made me think, why-oh-why didn't I become a physical therapist. Then maybe, just maybe I would have my very own Easton Wylder.

I have no intention of giving away the secrets or the ending of this book but, what I can tell you is that it is really good and a must read. For new readers who are just being introduced to K. Bromberg's books, The Player is an excellent start.

Mrs. Bromberg, I'm ready for book 2, please!

This story follows the meeting of Kennedy and Scarlet while Kennedy is trying to save his image volunteering at a soup kitchen. Scarlet, down on her luck and after a series of unfortunate events is living on the streets is just the beautiful girl-next-door to capture Kennedy's interest. I love the interaction between the two and really felt absorbed into the story by Black's writing. I love dual first person point of view style which Black delivered. Not only were there laugh out loud moments but my favorite required a change of panties for the steamy scenes throughout. Twists and surprises keep you flipping eagerly to the conclusion. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to more from Ms. Black.

Ali's Review ~ Just Like That by Nicola Rendell

Just Like ThatJust Like That by Nicola Rendell
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

~Ali
This is my second read by Rendell and it did not disappoint! I love her writing style which draws the reader right into this world. I feel like this story is so very relatable to just about everyone. No crazy drama, just honest meeting of happenstance which sparked a mutual attraction. Penny Darling could not be any cuter, just like her name implies. I loved Penny's wit and banter and she came across as a strong female lead. Russ is just that guy every girl needs in her life, and her bed… handsome, strong, sexual, and protective, what's not to love about him! I felt the story was very organic and never felt forced or rushed. The dual point of view is my favorite and Rendell uses it to her advantage to immerse the reader. Another great read from Rendell and I look forward to more!

Ali's Review ~ Untouchable by Isabel Love

Untouchable (Unexpected Love, #1)Untouchable by Isabel Love
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

★★★★.5
~Ali
I fell in love with Max and Monica almost as fast as they did! Love tells an easily relatable story of finding that special someone that you click with only to find out they are off limits, or untouchable. Try as they might, some things are just meant to be. I love that stereotypes are challenged and issues of income and power are brought in and dealt with as Monica is a highly regarded doctor and Max is a new nurse in her hospital. Being his supervisor has led Monica to question if Max is right for her when it's obvious that their connection is overwhelming. I thoroughly enjoyed Loves writing style and the fuel point of view. These characters are people I could see myself being friends with and was completely immersed into the story. If I didn’t love Monica as much as I did I would be determined to steal Max from her! This was my first read by Isabel Love and it absolutely won't be my last!

Cassie's Review ~ The Perfect Illusion by Winter Renshaw

The Perfect IllusionThe Perfect Illusion by Winter Renshaw
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

★★★★★
~Cassie
I think I just found my new favorite author and if I could rate this book more than five stars I would! If you love the enemies to lover’s genre this is the book for you. You will not regret reading this book, but do not expect to have a life while reading it. I could not put this book down!
The Perfect Illusion is Mari and Hudson’s book. I loved everything about Mari and I mean everything. She was funny, independent and sassy. She did not take Hudson’s crap and he dealt out a lot of crap. She gave as good as she got and let him know she was no pushover. And Hudson did push a lot. I had a love/hate relationship with Hudson. He is no doubt an egotistical jerk who only really cares about himself and his interest. But sometimes you can see a glimpse of something more and Mari is probably the one person who can pull it out of him.
There was definitely chemistry from the beginning, but it was more of hate at first site and not love. Mari thought more about ways to harm Hudson than anything else. But Mari finds herself in a predicament and Hudson has an offer that she cannot refuse. They agree to a ruse of an engagement and that is when the fun starts. As they get to know each other a friendship starts to bloom and then their feelings start to change. The problem is they both have secrets and people who are conspiring to break them up. Are they strong enough to withstand all the outside pressures and have a real relationship?
I loved the flow of this book and as I said earlier once you start this book you will not be able to put it down. Winter Renshaw did a fabulous job of writing the perfect non-love to love story and I highly recommend that everyone reads this book! She will definitely be an automatic one-click author for me!

Cassie's Review ~ How We Fall by Melissa Toppen

How We FallHow We Fall by Melissa Toppen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

☆☆☆☆☆
~Cassie
Wow.....just wow! If I could give this book more than five stars I would. I was blown away by How We Fall! This is my first book by Melissa Toppen and it will not be my last! I cannot wait to read all of her books.

How We Fall is a best friends to lovers and so much more book. So if that's the kind of book you are looking for then look no further because this is the book for you. Melanie and Cole have been best friends since they were ten year olds, and as they got older their feelings changed into more. But neither of them were brave enough to act on them afraid to ruin their friendship, but by not acting on those feelings caused a rift in their relationship and a six year separation. They are reunited by a tragedy and have to decide if they are brave enough to give into their feelings for each other. Feelings that are so obvious that every one around them knows they are meant to be together, but they are they willing to take a chance?

I loved the fact that Melanie and Cole were friends before anything else because it just added layers to their story. You could feel their love and friendship for each other. They knew what the other was thinking and feeling without having to say a word. I cannot say enough about the feels this book gave me. I don't want to say too much because you need to read this book and experience it for yourself.

Melissa Toppen blew me away with this book. I was sucked in on page one and could not put this book down. I had to see what happened with Cole and Melanie. This book is going on my top reads of 2017 list and highly recommend you add it to yours!

Cassie's Review ~ The House Mate by Kendall Ryan

The House Mate (Roommates, #3)The House Mate by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

★★★★.5
~Cassie
House Mate is the third book in the Roommate series and it is a complete standalone series. You will want to read this book if you are into single hot dads and the nanny who loves the baby as much as any mother would. Kendall Ryan did it again and delivered us another sweet and lighthearted love story.
House Mate is Max and Addison’s story. Max is a successful business owner who is starting to want more out of life than one night stands, but little does he know his life is about to change in a big way! He finds out he has a daughter and is an instant dad to a one year old baby girl. I loved Max and how instantly he took to fatherhood. He is sweet and hot all at once and all around maybe the perfect guy. Now all he needs is some help with his daughter and he hires the perfect nanny, Addison. Addison needs a serious restart on her life and the ad for the nanny comes at the perfect time. Addison is sweet and caring and perfect for Max. They both have serious heat for each other, but they both fight it because the baby comes before everything and they do not want to mess that up. They finally decide to try to a no string attached affair, but it is obvious that they both have feelings for each other but are scared to explore them. Will they be able to get past their own issues and outside forces to find their happily ever after?
Kendall Ryan gives you everything that you want in a love story and more. I love every single one of her books and cannot wait until the next one comes out! Once you start them you cannot stop. I guarantee you will want to read this book!

Cassie's Review ~ Fighting for Love by Kelly Elliott

Fighting for Love (Boston Love, #2)Fighting for Love by Kelly Elliott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

★★★★
~Cassie
Fighting for love is the second book in the Boston Love series. Each book can be read as a standalone. This was my first book and I was not lost at all. Kelly Elliott gives the reader a great love story and she did not disappoint with this book!
Fighting for Love is Finn and Rory’s story. Finn is a lady’s man and does not believe in relationships. At least that is what he thinks! I liked Finn and his sense of humor and his soft side when it came to his family and friends. And then there is Rory. Rory is a workaholic lawyer working at her mom’s law firm. She feels like she is always trying to prove something. I liked Rory, but I did not like how she let her parents have so much control over her life, especially her dad. They treat her like a child and she lets them. That is my biggest complaint about Rory, but she is such a sweet and loving person it’s easy to love her.
Rory and Finn first lay eyes on each other at a meeting and feel an instant connection, and usually I don’t like that but it was written so well that I did like it. Even though they felt an instant connection they took it slow and got to know each other. It was tough too because they had so much chemistry that you wanted them together now, but the wait just made it better. They had so many obstacles to overcome. The main problem is her dad who is Finn’s boss and has an extreme dislike for him. Do they have what it takes to overcome her parents and their own issues to get to their happily ever after?
Fighting for love was an emotional read, but also a funny one! I loved all the secondary characters and how it made the book so much more than just about the main characters. I loved this book from start to finish. A definite read!

Shy's Review ~ His Family of Convenience by Amy Ayers

His Family of ConvenienceHis Family of Convenience by Amy Ayers
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

description

This was a quick and easy read with some of of my favorite elements. Interesting plot including a secret baby. And characters who develop, grow and make hard decisions to try to obtain their happily ever after.

Marco and Senna's lives are changed after one night when they give in to the attraction between them. But a year goes by with no contact after that. Marco comes storming back into her life demanding access to her son despite her failed attempts to get ahold of him. While their attraction might still be there, there are plenty of things standing in their way and ultimately Marco will have to decide if his family expectations or his newly created family are more important to him.

Ultimately this was a pretty solid story with a good plot flow, some interesting twists and great chemistry between the leading characters. I loved the secret baby angle and felt like it was done pretty well. I think the only thing that prevented me from enjoying this story more was that I felt that this was supposed to be a contemporary romance and yet it almost seems the reasons keeping the main characters apart were a little more old school then something likely to happen nowadays. I get that it was tradition, I just personally would have liked to see a little more to it then firstborn obligation.

That being said it was a pretty good story with solid writing. Just enough angst and steam to keep things interesting. I would definitely be willing to check out more from this author in future.

Shy's Review ~ The Boy Friend by Mika Jolie

The Boy FriendThe Boy Friend by Mika Jolie
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

description

This is a cute contemporary romance that asks the age-old question of whether or not a man and a woman can be just friends. In this story you have Dean and Coriander AKA Cori, who have been friends since elementary school. Fast forward twenty years or so and the two are still going very strong with their friendship. But a surprise announcement from Cori sends the two down a path that will definitely force them to reassess their own friendship and whether or not it can or should be more.

There were a lot of things that I liked about this story. I love a story that can take a great group of friends, show them hanging out and showcase all the great dynamics between the different personalities. It of course leads me to wonder which of these secondary characters are going to get their story next, or at all, while enjoying the development of things between the two main characters. This book definitely offered that. There was supportive family members, some funny dialogue, and a strong friendship not just between the two main characters but between the entire group that I really felt in the heart of this story.

However there were also some things that I didn't like as much. While I am all for a cocky leading man, I'm even in favor of an alpha jerk, I just would prefer not to constantly be told, by the character, how awesome they are. I want more of the actions to show what a great guy they are, or are not. In this case for me there was just a little too much tell to go along with the show. In the end I did like the leading man and I enjoyed his journey of growing up and realizing what he truly wanted. But there were just a few too many moments where he was telling us the readers how great he was or how fantastic him and his friends were and even as I was reading a line telling me to stop rolling my eyes, I still found myself doing it.

This was one of those stories where I felt like I was being told a story as opposed to being in the story and I had to get used to that flow. But overall it was an enjoyable book. It was light and funny, with a few moments of emotion thrown in that helped me connect with the characters.

Shy's Review ~ Technically Mine by Isabel North

Technically MineTechnically Mine by Isabel North
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

I absolutely loved this contemporary romantic comedy. From the very beginning until the very end I was hooked.

Nora, having recently had her relationship end very unexpectedly, decided a change of scene is needed. This lands her in San Francisco working as an assistant to her interior designer cousin. That job brings her face to face with Gabe. Gabe is undoubtedly the hottest guy Nora has ever seen, and she ends up seeing A LOT of him very early into their acquaintance. But he's a client and therefore off limits. To bad for her Gabe doesn't seem inclined to go along with that notion. Despite how inappropriate it would be for her to get involved with him, he is a big fan of being inappropriate.

Gabe was such an awesome leading man, I can't say enough about him. He's a totally different kind of alpha then what I'm used to and he takes intense to a whole new level. But the way he is when it comes to Nora was so endearing and I just loved him right away.

Nora was just fun. I liked the way she thought. I liked how old school she was about certain things. I loved her reactions to Gabe. All of it was just such a pleasure to read.

This story was very well told and has me interested in checking out other books by this author. But I loved the comedy and the slow build feel of this one. I highly recommend it.

Shy's Review ~ Coping Skills by Jerica MacMillan

Coping Skills (Players of Marycliff University, #5)Coping Skills by Jerica MacMillan
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

description

I've been following this series since the beginning. And like with many series, some books you may like better than others. This was one that I certainly liked better.

Daniel and Elena were first introduced in a previous book. I liked them immediately so I was not only happy that they were getting their own story, but more so that it would be together. Elena seemed like a good friend and Daniel a really good guy in general. This book showed me even more.

Daniel wasn't your typical nice guy or bad boy. He wasn't a typical jock or nerd. He was this great blend of nice guy who was also a nerdy jock. He had a big heart that he wanted to share and after meeting Elena, that's who he wanted to share it with.

Elena on the other hand has just had the worst summer of her life and she isn't dealing well. Daniel presents as an amazing distraction and she can't resist. But the stressors in her life begin to be too much and Daniel's special brand of charm and persistence my not be enough to overcome Elena's hurt and emotional walls.

I loved the feeling and emotions in this story. I really connected with both characters, Daniel especially. I had those great book moments where I hurt when they hurt and I sometimes wanted to throttle them. But I always kind of understood where they were coming from. It helped me to just enjoy as I read and helped with my overall connection.

I continue to enjoy Jerica's work and look forward to more from her in future.

Shy's Review ~ Forbidden Kisses by Annie Rains

Forbidden Kisses (Blushing Bay, #1)Forbidden Kisses by Annie Rains
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

description

Forbidden Kisses was a story of second chances, over coming the past, and deciding what you can and cannot live without.

Jack and Grace met and felt their first stirrings of something more under forbidden circumstances. Jack's dad and Grace's mom used to be married. And when the marriage ended under terrible circumstances the two spent many years avoiding each other due to family hurt and hatred. But when Grace is in desperate need of a job, Jack does the only thing he can do, he offers her one. Working in such close proximity makes it impossible for the two to ignore those old feelings resurfacing. But the old hurts are still very much present and it becomes uncertain if the past can be overcome for the two to have a present or future together.

This was a good story with lots of emotion and so much to build upon. I really liked both Jack and Grace's characters. The emotion between them felt real. I liked that the obstacles seemed believable. I didn't need to suspend reality to understand why these things might come between them. I also liked the Sawyer family as a whole and a lot of the other supporting characters.

I look forward to the rest of the books in this new series. I am already invested in where things will go, and if this story is anything to go off of, they will be well told and an overall really good read.

Shy's Review ~ Ride Me Dirty by Vanessa Vale

Ride Me Dirty (Bridgewater County Book 1)Ride Me Dirty by Vanessa Vale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

description

Contemporary menage romance with strong but supportive alphas to balance a workaholic heroine who needs to learn to slow it down and enjoy life. That is what I got to experience with this story.

Catherine is headed to settle the estate she inherited when she meets Jack and Sam. But she is no where near prepared for what she gets with these two men.

This story had a lot of different elements to it that I wasn't quite expecting when I read the synopsis. But that was such a good thing. There was more going on with the heroine especially, that I really enjoyed. She could have easily been presented as a one dimensional character who was just always controlled by the men, but she held her own and stood out for me.

This is a sub-genre of romance that is really growing on me. And this story was an excellent example of what I like about it. Good pacing, nice supporting characters, really good plot at the heart, and I really liked the heroine and both heros equally. They made me believe in their relationship and that it could work.

Shy's Review ~ The Banker by Piper Rayne

The Banker (Modern Love, #3)The Banker by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description
I thought this book was just as fantastic as the first book in this series. I was definitely looking forward to Lennon's book as she was such a strong character with such an interesting personality in the previous stories.

The main characters in this story are Lennon and Jasper and they couldn't have been more different from each other. But I actually love that aspect. I loved seeing these two very different characters navigate their feelings for each other. They had opposite perspectives on so much, and at first glance shouldn't work. But the spark was undeniable and drew me in to see what would happen. I also absolutely loved the twists and turns thrown into the mix. It managed to never feel stale or already done in the previous books.

All of these stories had a very good overall plot and flow to them. They were a great blend of romance, comedy, character development, and just all in all enjoyment.

Once the last words were read, I did have some things I would like to see more of. What was Jacob's final reaction? Will there be any spinoffs to give us his story? Or maybe Lennon's other brother? Either way I just want to get more books from Piper Rayne.

Tiffany's Review ~ Morrow's Horizon by Sierra Kummings

Morrow's HorizonMorrow's Horizon by Sierra Kummings
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

description
Morrow's Horizon is an excellent start to a series. This is Sara and Jacob's story. Jacob is the CFO for his family's bank, who happens to employ Sara. She has had fantasies for years about her sexy Latin boss. She can't, and won't, fall for the all consuming passion that she knows they would have. That's what destroyed her parents marriage after all. One chance meeting, and one business proposal leaves them working closely together.
My heart hurt for Jacob. Dealing with PTSD, working with a father he detests, and a friend with benefits who wants more, he definitely has a full plate. When he's hit with a major deception just after he meets Sara for the first time, he realizes he needs to make some serious changes in his life. It's no wonder he finds it hard to trust. There were a lot of misunderstandings between the pair and I would have loved to see them talk things through more.
Sara is completely devoted to her family. She and her sisters have amazing relationships between them, and her disabled niece, Tessa, brings them all together nicely. The ultimate test for any man in her life is that little girl. If they can't handle being around her and the tantrums she sometimes has, or they treat her poorly, they're out. Sara is scared to even think of attempting a relationship with someone she's fantasized about for years. With undeniable chemistry, and the support of her family, she decides to give it a shot. I love the spunk and courage she has. She knows he has PTSD, and she is more than willing to work through things with him. Sara is a very strong woman and that's just what Jacob needs.
I felt that it took a little while to get into the story, but when things picked up it was so worth it. We got a lot of information on the sisters as well, which will help when we get their books as well. I love the family dynamic between the girls, and they're willingness to help out when one sister faces tragedy and must raise a disabled daughter on her own. Sara has her day job at the bank, and she takes on nights caring for her niece. This book is told in dual pov, which anyone who knows me also know it's my favorite form of writing. I love getting both sides, both views. I feel it opens up the story so much and we truly get more out of it. I commend Sierra on her debut. Excellent job!

Tiffany's Review ~ Techy by LeAnn Ashers

Techy (Devils Souls MC, #2)Techy by LeAnn Ashers
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

description
Alisha is sheltered and abused. Her father lives a dangerous life and it's bound to affect her life very soon. She meets a man online, and he's her safe haven. They talk, but never meet. Until one night when he finds out the danger she's in.
Techy is part of the Devils MC. In his search to help missing women he finds an ad that Alisha has posted and contacts her. They instantly hit it off and talk all the time. When he sees what's happening to her at home, nothing will stop him from saving her.
All the good stuff! Techy is a sweet, sexy alpha male. Deathly protective and fierce when it comes to those he loves. He's perfect at helping Alisha overcome things she's been through and she draws strength from him. She's sweet and innocent, but she is quickly changing and adapting to her new life. She never dreamed she'd have anything good in her life, destined to a life of abuse. I love how strong she was, but found it a little far fetched that she didn't really have any lasting effects from her life up until that point. She was a little jumpy for a couple days but that seemed to be it.
Leanne Ashers has me hooked on this series. I love the writing and the easy flow. There's nothing like a good alpha male at any time of the day. I did like how easily Alisha was accepted into the club, and the relationship she had with the girls and Butch. His book is next and I can't wait for that one too come out. The whole club is like a true family and they all have each other's backs at all times. Another one well done!

Tiffany's Review ~ Restrained Under His Duty by Stacey Kennedy

Restrained Under His Duty (Dirty Little Secrets, #3)Restrained Under His Duty by Stacey Kennedy
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

description

Scandal! Hadley leads a life full of secrets. If her lifestyle ever became public, it would ruin her father's career as a senator. One person can help her and protect her. The only problems is that they have strong feelings for each other, and his first duty is to her father as his chief of security.
Ryder is not only chief of security for the senator, but also secretly owns a BDSM club, and is one of four members of the Dominants Counsel. That part of his life can never become public. With a blackmailer out for dirt, he becomes a target along with Hadley. It's a race against time to find the person responsible before someone gets hurt, or worse. I loved Ryder's strength and concern for Hadley. He had an obligation to her father, but he'd never let anything happen to her. As they work on finding the person behind the threats they become closer. Ryder is possessive, protective, and hot as hell. He'll do anything in his power to take care of the problem, and get what he wants.
Hadley needs saving in more ways than one. She punishes herself for the past, things that were beyond her control. Her nights at the club help her deal with the pain of rejection from Ryder. She'd much prefer it was Ryder helping her but with his duty to her father, she knows it won't happen. When the threats start rolling in and she seeks help from Ryder, they get closer and lines become blurred. I loved when they finally started opening up to each other. The chemistry was off the charts between the two and I was waiting for it to explode.
This was well written and fast paced. There was never a good moment to put it down and take a break, there always seemed to be something happening that you didn't want to wait to read. The stage is set perfectly for Gage's story, and I can't wait to dive into that one! While this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the whole series...you won't be disappointed that you picked them up!

Tiffany's Review ~ Tortured Skye by Gwyn McNamee

Tortured Skye: A Hawke Family Novel (Hawke Family #2)Tortured Skye: A Hawke Family Novel by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

Skye fell in love with Gabe when she was sixteen. He's her brothers best friend and a part of her family since they were little. One kiss, and rejection, ruins the easy relationship they have. Now she'll try to convince him that their love is worth whatever they have to endure and overcome.
Skye was a tortured soul after the loss of her twin, her other half, the calm reason to her wild ways. Given the circumstances, Skye was amazingly strong. She knew what she wanted and was determined to make it work. She knows the possible consequences of her actions. The love of family is wonderful, but sometimes a different kind of love is what you need.
Gabe is just as tortured as Skye. He mourns the loss of her sister as well. He hates himself for his past. He knows he's not good enough for her and what it would do to his relationship with his best friend if he ever found out. Is that enough to keep his distance though? I loved that when it was most important, he stepped up. I really felt for him with all the self doubt he had and his fear of what they could both lose. When trouble comes knocking during a huge storm, there's nothing that can stop him from saving Sykes.
Wow...this is book two in this amazing new series and it's so worth picking it up! Written in dual pov, you get to delve into both sides and really get a good feel for what each character is thinking. The struggle they both face is strong and while they handle it each in their own way, they work through it. I loved every minute of this book and can't wait for the next in the series!

Nothing is more than a hot single dad well a hot single dad with a chance at love with a hot alpha babysitter. Apollo and Dylan one of the hottest couples I have read to date. This was a great story of second chances of finding love after heartbreak. This is one of those stories that will hold you and won’t let you. This is a great story of finding the one that would be your everything. This is hot, heartwarming book that will make you want to fall in love all over again. Love , absolutely loved this story . I was so excited for more of Clay and Logan ,because why not one book was not enough . They have to be two of my favorite couples , their love and growth .Such passion and loyalty . I love have the chemistry was still there. Christa is one of my favorite authors ad she did not disappoint. I had really high hopes for this story and I have to say I got what I expected. In this story their relationship is in the growth stages and there is definitely down stages and ups but reading this story it just drew me in .
Clay and Logan both having growing to do in this story and their relationship isn’t the best but doing all this it brings so much to the story. These two or so different yet that’s what makes them perfect for each other . This book was so much than a romance it was a book of healing, of finding that no matter what the heart wants what the heart wants . This is a great book that must be read . I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great M/M book .

Who doesn’t love a beautiful retelling of a timeless classic. This is the first book in series of fairy tale retellings and I must say I was excited to read this story with an adult twist. To say Beauty and the Beast was a favorite story of mine would be an understatement but reading this beautiful remake with an adult twist I loved it. Adam and Isabella will draw you in and make you fall in love with them and their story. Adams story is so heartbreaking as the story starts it will catch you off guard like it did me. This is a story of getting a second chance at happiness of finding love when you think love has been lost. I love a good Happily Ever After especially if the beginning is so tragic and this is no different.
Reading this story, you can feel the love between Adam and Isabella as the story goes on and it grabs you, hold you, and sometimes just breaks your heart, Isabella was a strong main character that will make you pay attention. Adam why secluded really comes into himself with her love. This is a story worth reading. A story for those who believe that love really does calm the beast. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder and it is more than on the surface. This book put a smile on my face and on my soul. I can’t wait to see what’s next. True love never gets old.

Lindsey's Review ~ Target by L.P. Dover

Target (Circle of Justice, #2)Target by L.P. Dover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another well written piece of work from L.P.Dover . The two main characters will keep you on your toes until the end. This erotic suspense will take you on a roller coaster ride and have you asking yourself what’s next. This was a good book that kept my attention until the end without losing it along the way. There was a lot of secrets, lies, and who but in the throughout the story the plot was consistent and I really enjoyed myself. This is a nonstop in your face book of living double lives and how two words collided. This was an in your face , fast paced look into the world of lies and secrets and I would not look away for a second .
Wade an Brina give a good story, the chemistry between the two of them was right on point. The two of them are both keeping secrets from the other and when worlds collides it will have you asking yourself what just happened. This is a good midday read that somehow turn into an all-night read. The story from the characters, the plot, and the off the chart chemistry between them all made a great story to fall in like I did . I am really looking forward to what else L.P.Dover has to offer.

Lindsey's Review ~ Step by Step by K.C. Wells

Love it will either break us or make us stronger especially when we need it the most and sometimes it comes in many forms and when we expect it the most. This story was captivating from beginning till the end. What started off as a simple situation turned into something more. This story will touch you and hold you on the never-ending rollercoaster ride of their love. This is a great love story that will keep you entertained throughout.
K.C. WELLS never disappoint with her work. There is always a connection between the characters. Jamie and Guy just had that instant chemistry even though Jamie is “straight “. The moment they meet it just felt like yeah this will be something there. Both are strong characters that hold their own throughout the story. I can’t lie I love this story I think it makes my top M/M romance read. The chemistry between the characters, the writing, the plot everything just fell in place and just made this story what it was great . I can’t wait to see what’s next from her. Because every book just gets better and better. This is love at its finest and is so worth reading.

Nikki's Review ~ Scorned by Chelsea Camaron & Ryan Michele

Scorned (Ruthless Rebels MC, #2)Scorned by Chelsea Camaron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

Scorned is the second installment of the Ruthless Rebels MC series by Chelsea Cameron and Ryan Michele. The collaboration between these brilliant authors gets better with every book!

Austin and Andrea fell in love at a very young age but because of a miscommunication, Andrea left town to chase her journalist dreams. When Andrea comes back to town because of a dangerous event that leaves her fighting for her health, Austin "Shamus" is determined not to let her go again.

This is another short read but no way does it take away the from the storyline. I was mystified trying to figure out who was behind all the chaos surrounding Andrea.

Shamus is an outlaw who doesn't answer to anyone except his club yet his tenderness was shown when dealing with Andrea and her health issues. Andrea was such a fighter. I loved watching her let down her guard to put trust and faith in Shamus.

This is such a great series. It is packed with gritty action and a beautiful love story. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Nikki's Review ~ Shamed by Chelsea Camaron & Ryan Michele

Shamed (Ruthless Rebels MC, #1)Shamed by Chelsea Camaron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

When you have two amazing MC authors like Chelsea Cameron and Ryan Michele teaming up to start a new series then you know it will be nothing short of brilliant!

Shamed is the first installment of the Ruthless Rebels MC series and it takes you on an intense ride. It is also a second chance romance but that word seems so tame for the volatile emotions between Dixon and Kenderly.

DJ and Kenderly were high school sweethearts torn apart when Kenderly's world exploded and she was left with the responsibility of taking care of her mother. Choices were made by two individuals that were still kids not seeing another way to live their lives. But instead of moving on Kenderly seems to put her life on hold and DJ turns to the Ruthless Rebels MC to become the family he has always needed.

I felt that DJ was looking for any reason to find his way back to Kenderly. Unfortunately his mother gives him one that puts Kenderly's safety and life in jeopardy. But this dirty talking alpha biker was not going to pass up the chance to get the girl he left behind.

Shamed is a quick read to set up this new series but it is packed with drama, violence, sex and emotional pain. But with Chelsea Cameron and Ryan Michele, you know this is going to be an epic new series!

Nikki's Review ~ Bossed by Sloane Howell

BossedBossed by Sloane Howell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

description
Bossed is my first book by author Sloane Howell and it was a huge hit for me!

This book had me hooked from the very first chapter. I loved the banter between the sassy Jenny and the boss from hell Ethan. This couple had major intense foreplay disguised as heated work arguments.

Unfortunately you had two stubborn individuals that still carried emotional baggage from their childhood. When Ethan messes up a couple of times, he pulls out the big grand gestures to find forgiveness. Not giving any spoilers but one of his grand gestures was so beautiful that it had me in tears.

The secondary characters were wonderful. Jenny and Ethan were so fortunate to have Kelsey and Matt as best friends. I really hope Mr. Howell will give them their own story because you could tell there was a spark between them.

This was a very good read and I am excited to find a new to me author!

Nikki's Review ~ Bound by Family by Ryan Michele

Bound by Family (Ravage MC Bound, #1)Bound by Family by Ryan Michele
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

The next generation of the Ravage MC is just as sensational as the original!

I was so excited when I heard Ryan Michele was going to introduce us to the next generation of Ravages by giving Cooper his story. And what a story it was, making Cooper find the one woman who he shouldn't want.

Cooper and Bristyl couldn't be more perfect together. Even though she finds herself in a dangerous position, Bristyl who has ties to the Sinster Sons MC knows loyalty and club come first. She's smart, level headed and not afraid to take chances which makes her the perfect Old Lady for an alpha biker.

I didn't know if I would be able to transition from Cooper the adorable boy to Cooper the tough alpha grown up biker but when he started getting dirty with Bristyl, slapping that butt and rocking her world, I was so on board! He is definitely the future of the Ravage MC. He doesn't hesitate to step up when the club needs him and he does it in a way that shows power and authority.

I was thrilled that we got to see past characters and see what was going on in their lives even though some of it broke your heart. I can't wait to read more of this future Ravages MC generation.

Nikki's Review ~ Crazy for You by Rachel Lacey

Crazy for You (Risking It All, #2)Crazy for You by Rachel Lacey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

description

The more I read from Rachel Lacey the bigger fan I become. Crazy For You is the latest in the Risking It All series and it is a winner!

Emma Rush has always had a crush on her older brother's best friend Ryan Blake but knows nothing will ever come of it. Ryan promised his late buddy he would never hit on his sister but would always watch out for her. But when Emma decides to shake up her comfortable ordered life she knows Ryan is just the bad boy to help her.

I absolutely adored this story. When Emma decides to change her life she doesn't do it half measures. She knows the time is right to embrace who she has always wanted to be not only on the outside but inside as well. She is brimming with guts, bravery and heart.

Ryan has tried to not let his past and up bringing define him. He strives to be a better man and do the right thing, even if it means not acting on his attraction to Emma.

This book has the right combinations of heart, emotion and struggle. It was sweet but not candy coated sweet, there is so much emotional struggle but it was internal. You couldn't help but cheer for this couple even as you worried they would be their own downfall.

I am loving this series and can't wait to read more about the residents of Haven, Georgia!

Nikki's Review ~ Royally Relinquished by Hayley Faiman

Royally Relinquished: A Modern Day Fairy TaleRoyally Relinquished: A Modern Day Fairy Tale by Hayley Faiman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

description

Hayley Faiman is one of my top ten authors. I can't get enough of her mafia or MC series. But I had reservations when I started reading Royally Relinquished. After I started devouring this book which hooked me from the very beginning I knew I was getting another brilliant read from this amazing author.

From the very first meeting between Henrick and Caitriona you felt the attraction, heat and passion. But I started having reservations regarding Henrick. Deep down was he the man for her? His behavior at times was selfish, self centered and indecisive. He seemed to care more of what others thought than the woman that was stealing his heart. But just when you are ready to write Henrick off, he opens up a side that shows a depth to his character.

Caitriona was such a sweet, kind, gentle woman but she had to have a spine of steel to take on Henrick. It was empowering to see how much she grew as a strong confident woman throughout the story. Even as she dealt with the obstacles of their relationship, she kept her poise and grace.

Sometimes fairytales have more thorns than roses, but when you get to the heart of the story it can be an emotional beautiful tale. That is what reading this book was for me. I hope Hayley Faiman has more fairytales to write in the future!

Diane's Review ~ Son of a Beard by Lani Lynn Vale

Son of a Beard (The Dixie Wardens Rejects MC #3)Son of a Beard by Lani Lynn Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description
Bearded bliss….
It’s a new story in the DWRM series and I pounced on it like a kitten on milk! Like cheese on broccoli! Like Archie on Veronica (or Betty). No, no – this isn’t a ménage, but it is serious book crack and I’m completely, happily, deliriously addicted!
Verity and Truth find themselves with two things in common and they both start with ex-. With family making things a lot more complicated than they should be, they’re still determined to survive their forced attendance at a wedding (that there isn’t enough alcohol to get through). Despite that, they not only survive but manage to laugh through it with ‘in your force’ attitude and hilarious moments that lead to … a possible future together? The drama is real and so is the out of control warmth and emotion that they bring to this “read in one sitting” romance.
“I wasn’t normally so slutty, but hell, if you saw this man, you’d have jumped at the chance to do him, too!”
This series does not shy away from harsh realities and the brutality and unfairness of life. This outing is no exception but Verity and Truth balance unbearable sadness with their down-to-earth approach to impossible situations. Every blow is met with a matching punch as Truth is deliciously protective and fierce while Verity counters with kick-ass attitude and a ferociousness of her own. Together they, along with Truth’s beard, ride the storms while the sexy-o-meter blows sky high.
And a big part of that meter is judged by the beard. Verity talks to the beard. Like it’s real! Strokes and fondles it reverently and with a gentleness that shows how much she cares for it. And that’s just the beard! Whew… For a woman who (quite honestly) is not that drawn to them, the way Verity treats Truth’s beard has me rethinking my entire stance on beards in general. Reading does change a person, doesn’t it? I just hope this author doesn’t start waxing poetic about the man bun though. Not sure what I’ll be able to do with that…
“I don’t understand your specific brand of crazy, but I do commend your devotion to it.”
Funny, emotional and always, always, full up on drama with all the feels, this series is aging with perfection. I never thought a bike seat – a bike seat – would make me misty but this author managed it!
Five “beards really do rock” stars!
