Mixed Up by Emma Hart
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars
The perfect combination of sexy and sassy, Mixed Up was unputdownable.
Hart shakes things up by giving us a brother's best friend book that also happens to be an enemies to lovers story, too! I mean, come on, you can't go wrong with either of those. Mixologist, Raven Archer, is struggling to find a chef for the restaurant side of her new bar, Dirty. After interviewing what seems like an endless stream of unqualified prospects and begging her brother to step in, she does something she swore she wouldn't do. She asks her nemesis and hot shot chef, Parker Hamilton, to step in and help her. With a lifetime of animosity and hatred between them, these two need to figure out how to work together without killing one another. Shockingly, things start to shift between Raven and Parker, and wow, is it hot!!
I just couldn't get enough of these characters. These two were masters at their crafts. Capable, intelligent, and driven. I really loved them. Their witty banter had me laughing out loud throughout the entire story. The slow build of their relationship was tantalizing and I was captivated by the push and pull between them. Hart draws us in with humor and holds us there with the intensity of their chemistry.
