Jess's Review ~ Ghostface Killer by M. Never

Ghostface KillerGhostface Killer by M. Never
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sexy and dark - suspenseful and bloody - sassy and wicked

This is not my first book by this author and every time I have been given something a bit different. The only constant has been the ridiculously sexy feel, even in this case when it is riddled with death, vengeance and a bit of mystery.

How much are you willing to risk for a life, freedom, a way out of the terrible street life you are living? Would you kill for it? Would you risk everything for it? Well in the eyes of a broken and beaten Stevie, yes was the only answer. She is turned into a "Ghost" a killer, a blood thirsty women who knows how to use what she was taught to get what she wants. Her current situation has her avenging her teacher, her protector, her everything, Benny. She is sent on a job to the middle of nowhere only to realize that her carefully constructed persona can still be rattled.

Baz is a special kind of character. He is kind and carefree but there is something dark and mysterious behind his gruff and smile. He has a whole host of issues and darkness that is well and hidden, until it's not and he becomes something else.

This is a book where no one is quite who they seem. You begin to question everyone's motives and know they all have secrets. Weaving through this messy situation, Baz and Stevie find something brutally beautiful and completely erotic. When the reality of their situation hits without warning, a game of survival begins. I was really caught up in this story, waiting for all of the pieces to come together. Stevie is bold and calculated, a true weapon and a fierce protector of what is hers. Baz has more to him than words can describe. He is obsessive and sexy but insecure and damaged too.

This was a wicked ride, with all of my favorite things.
