Jess's Review ~ Hot For the Fireman by Gina L. Maxwell

Hot For the Fireman (Boston Heat #1)Hot For the Fireman by Gina L. Maxwell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sexy, sweet and smoking hot fireman, yes please.

This book was exactly what I expected it to be. It was funny, it was sweet, it was on the light side even when our hero Erik has some issues he needs to work through, and it was HOT. Erik is the type of man many of us dream about. A hard worker, well mannered, someone who fought for our country, and is the size of a mack truck or Paul Bunyan. He has been given a choice; get help or get out. An incident at work has brought forth some pretty significant feelings and he needs to get his head on straight in order to come back. For him it was a no brainer. Then by random he meets this woman but he is not one for coincidences and takes it as a sign.

Olivia is pretty straight-laced, a bit OCD and likes to be in conservative control all the time. It took her a long time to put herself out there again only to be gifted with bad-date after bad-date. After what is meant to be her final bad-date turns into meeting the slightly overwhelming and incredibly intoxicating Wolf she thinks she is done with dating for awhile. While he awoke something inside of her she thinks that is all it meant to be, until two days later.

This was a pretty typical romance, two people trying to figure their way out and seeing if there is something more out there for them. They are fun and flirty together. They are also downright sizzling. From dirty talking to sweet gestures to fun attraction, this was a great lazy day read.
