Stripped Bare by Heidi McLaughlin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was very Pretty Woman-esq. I loved the movie and adored the book.
Macey is down on her luck, like way down. Single mom/waitress/stripper who lives with her non-helpful mother on the wrong side of the tracks. With one last ditch effort to get out of the situation she finds herself in she makes a trip to Vegas. One week, tons of tips and then she's going home. Well that was the plan anyway.
Finn is on the top of the world. He gets what he wants, when he wants and cares little of the consequences. He comes off as kind of a jerk and is cold. But he sees an opportunity in someone that brings a piece of home to Vegas. But it's just a week and it's just a pretty girl on his arm.
There is tons of chemistry and heat in this book. There is also a lot of hot and cold, emotions are up and down. There were a couple of times that I felt like I wanted to shake the characters about a bit because they were too stuck in their own insecurities. I enjoy this author's writing and did really enjoy this book.
