Lynzi's Review ~ The Executioner by Shauna Allen

The Executioner (The Family Creed, #1)The Executioner by Shauna Allen
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Oh my word!!

Hot. Intense. Emotional. Suspenseful.

Oh So Good!!

Asher Creed is an ex-Army Ranger, turn prison guard. He gets his name the Executioner, because he is part of the execution team at rhe prison he works. No his job isn't easy, but someone has to do it. This life he finds himself in, isn't what he dreamed of doing. When an accident left his career as a Ranger gone, he decided to try and follow in his father's foot steps. His father is the best man he knows, and the man he looks up to. His family is everything to him. He is the oldest of 6 siblings. They are a group of 5 boys and 1 girl. Claire being the baby. When she mysteriously disappears, it leaves them broken and with a ton of questions. Not know what happened is the hardest thing. With so much negativity in his mind, love and a happily ever after isn't something he wants. Or so he thought.

Genevieve Stone is trying to find her next big story. As a criminal journalist, she takes her job seriously. With her own shady and emotional past, she tries to help those who need the help, but don't have to voice to do it themselves. Looking to get some inside scoop on the execution on an inmate for her next story, she approaches Officer Creed. Even though he blows her off, she still seems to wiggle her way into his graces and has him talking. Little did they both know, she would wiggle her way into more than his graces.

They become each others saving grace. They become each others healing balm, when they need it the most. Not ever knowing they need someone, they both fight against their feelings, until they realize it's pointless.

Their love, their strength, is amazing. I loved everything about this story. I loved how even through so much darkness, so much pain, they were still able to find love. Find a happy ever after.

Not only is it an amazing love story, there is a mystery through the whole thing. I can't wait to read them all to figure out what happened, how, and why. To see this family get answers and some type of healing, is something I can't wait for.
