Jess's Review ~ Bad Penny by Staci Hart

Bad PennyBad Penny by Staci Hart
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Teehee...this book was funny; in a great lines, witty banter, crazy internal dialog and ridiculous situations kind of funny. If you have enjoyed Staci Hart in the past, you will love this one too. While it can be read as a stand-alone, I love this world that these characters are in. With each book it's like hanging out with friends you haven't seen in awhile. Getting glimpse at characters I have already fell in love with and discovering more about the others involved.

This book was about Penny, no fourth date Penny. She is bold and sarcastic. She is fun but doesn't believe she has anything long term in her. Then a blast from the past makes an entrance at an ice cream shop and her rules get all jumbled up.

Bodie is hot and nerdy and made me have a real appreciation for math. Recently moved to the area he can't believe his luck when a blast from his past is found twice in one night. He had a thing for Penny once upon a time but he didn't think he stood a chance. But now, years apart are on his side or at least for three dates they are.

Super entertaining were the struggles for it not being anything "too serious" and the antics of those around them. There were also a good dose of feelings thrown in that has everyone running scared. Overall incredibly enjoyable and I know there are others that have a story to be told so I can't wait for more.
