Nikki's Review ~ Deklan by Shay Savage

DeklanDeklan by Shay Savage
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Deklan by Shay Savage was a well written, enjoyable read.

Deklan was a very complex character. Ruthless and violent when it comes to the work he does for his crime boss yet safe and gentle when dealing with his new wife.

Forced to wed the newly crowned mafia boss, Kera had no idea what her life holds next. But little did she know that her wedding plans would change and she would be promising forever to the henchman of the mafia. Kera is so young and her home life is not that the best. But I was surprised by how well she adapted to her situation with Deklan. There was almost a sense of insta-love between Kera and Deklan.

There was one part of this book that bothered me greatly and that was the tragic event that happened on Kera's birthday. There was a brief period of dealing with it then nothing. It was just never an issue again.

Even though this wasn't a raw, gritty, dark mafia read I did like it! Hope to read more of Shay Savage.
